678. Welcome to the final Blog of 2024. My wife, who edits the Blog is going to visit one of our daughters in London for the holidays and while she’s gone me and my dog, Hannah Banana will be staying stateside and will be working on Blogs for the new year. I want to thank all of you for your support over the past year and wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
HANNAH BANANA
One of the things I hated about living in Wisconsin was Christmas time. Why? Because the property bills are mailed out just before Christmas and the last thing I want to see before I eat a nice meal and opened presents was a tax bill. I became obsessed with this to the point that I would pretty much ruin Christmas for my family because that’s all I wanted to talk about. I started to hate Christmas and they started to hate me. They called me a Grinch. I should have taken down my mailbox on December 1st every year. Who the hell thought that was a good idea? It had to be an atheist, a communist or probably both. One year I got a tax bill on Christmas Eve. That didn’t go over well at dinner. On top of that the first payment is due in January. That’s when you get your credit card statements from all the stuff you bought for Christmas. And you wonder why I hate government?
So I looked at how other places I lived handled property taxes.
I also went on Zillow to get the property tax rates as well. I took two home values, $250,000 and $400,000 and applied the property tax rate.
They send out their bills in February and the first payment is due in March and the second one in June.
Value-250,000 Tax-2,000.00
Value-400,000 Tax-3,600.00
They spread out their payments in four. Starting in August, October, January and March and
if you pay the yearly property tax before July 1 you get a discount. They also have the lowest taxes of the four locations.
Value-250,000 Tax-450.00
Value-400,000 Tax-1,750.00
I like this one the best. They send out their bill in October. You have the choice to pay in any month between November and April. You get a discount if you pay in any month except April.
Value-250,000 Tax-1,030.00
Value-400,000 Tax-2,590.00
Florida has it’s own problems looming. Here is part of a Newsweek article from Oct 28, 2024.
Florida's housing affordability crisis has been exacerbated by skyrocketing property taxes in the past five years, according to a recent Redfin study, which found that three of the five metropolitan areas reporting the biggest hikes since 2019 were in the Sunshine State.
In Jacksonville, the median monthly property tax payment climbed by 59.6 percent between 2019 and 2025, the third-highest increase of any of the U.S.'s most populous metropolitan areas after Indianapolis (66.7 percent) and Atlanta (65.8 percent).
As of August, Jacksonville homeowners were paying a median monthly property tax of $228 and a median monthly housing payment of $2,735, up 99.0 percent since 2019.

Could this be coming to Superior? We will see over the next few years.
They send out their bill at Christmas, Bah Humbug, and first payment due in January and second one due July. Out of the four, Superior has the highest tax rate. No extra charge for the beautiful weather either.
Value-250,000 Tax-2,100.00
Value-400,000 Tax-3,750.00
I know many of you are worried about this year’s new assessment. The city says some will go up and some will go down. I have a few few friends who’s assessments have gone up 100% and are worried. When you get your bill, if you have sticker shock send me an email here at the Blog. All your personal information will be kept in complete confidence. In the meantime I am not the Grinch. The state of Wisconsin and city of Superior are. A bunch of commies as far as I’m concerned.

Recently, the city reassessed property values to keep up with the times. If residents were unhappy with their assessments, they had the option to contest them. Only 3% of residents chose to do so, and among them was Councilor Garner Moffat. He successfully argued that his property was assessed too high and should be valued 15% less, resulting in lower property taxes for him. It’s quite ironic that a city councilor is seeking to pay less in taxes while the rest of us are dealing with increased spending.
Fast forward two months, and now Garner Moffat is asking for a salary increase of over 25% as a city councilor. Help me make sense of this situation!
In this feature we will run a story that shows you, America, how you dodged a bullet by not voting this incompetent buffoon to national office. We will outline stories that we feel are detrimental to the state of Minnesota but also for the country. You have read about the handling of the George Floyd disaster by Tampon Tim. And you have read about his goofy wife Gwen’s love of smelling burning tires and corpses. Today we are going to talk about their equally goofy daughter Hope “The Snitch” Walz. Here is today’s story.
July 13, 2020
This is not a new story. The events described in it occurred on May 28 and was part of the backstory of the protest-turned-riot over the death of George Floyd. Our correspondent, Shadow State, is right: This is not a story that the mainstream media would want to publish. Yet a governor’s daughter disclosing inside information to rioters that they needn’t fear the presence of the National Guard, who then went on to destroy some $500 million worth of property and cause the death of at least one man, Calvin Lewis Horton Jr., ought to be news.
Governor Tim Walz said what happened in Minneapolis after Floyd’s death was the second-most destructive incident of civil unrest in U.S. history, after the 1992 riots in Los Angeles. Yet, he declined the offer of President Trump to send in the National Guard, and as Shadow details, his daughter, Hope Walz, put that news out on Twitter to ensure that the protesters/rioters were aware of that good news — for them. It was bad news for the owners and tenants of some 700 buildings that were damaged, burned, or destroyed in Minneapolis.
It remains unclear why protesters/rioters enraged over Floyd’s death do not exclaim equal abhorrence to the death of Horton. His life was, at least to him, not any less important than George Floyd’s. However, to publish such sentiments would be to minimize the narrative that police are bad and the protesters are peaceful, righteous, and good. There is little to no outrage to the wanton destruction of property and loss of another life in the wake of the death of one man, Floyd, in Minneapolis.
I dare you to publish this story which the mainstream media won’t touch.
Why doesn’t the DOJ arrest the communist Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, and his communist rat of a daughter, Hope Walz, for fomenting an insurrection?
President Trump offered to call out the National Guard to restore order to the streets of Minneapolis during a riot. Governor Walz rejected Trump’s offer.
On May 28, Hope Walz tweeted that the National Guard would not be called out to stop the rioting in Minneapolis. Hope used social media to give her Anti-Fa and BLM friends the green light to continue the riot.
Hope’s tweets were deleted but it was fortunately captured by a screenshot:
“could someone who has followers actually rel(a)y to the masses that the guard WILL NOT be present tonight??” Hope Walz
Hope goes on to Tweet, “the guard can not be sent in within minutes. it takes time for them to deploy because they come from all over the state.to be clear, the guard will not be present tonight.”
Walz continued, “what I do know is the guard won’t be arresting people tonight.”
So the guard won’t be arresting people and it is safe for you to riot says the governor’s daughter.

I think the article speaks for itself, but here is a new story that just came out recently:
Hope Walz, Tim Walz's Daughter, Reveals Her Joe
Rogan Test With Guys She Meets Online
Mon, December 9, 2024
Hope Walz said guys who are fans of podcaster Joe Rogan are a “red flag” and should be avoided.
Walz, the 23-year-old daughter of Tim Walz, the Democratic Minnesota governor and recent vice presidential candidate, issued her tip for meeting men online to almost 200,000 followers on TikTok recently.
“A litmus test for me and my friends for like years now has been if the guy we’re talking to follows Joe Rogan on Instagram, they’re a red flag and we should probably stop talking to them,” Hope Walz said. “And the times when they do follow him on Instagram and we haven’t stopped talking to them ... it’s never ended well.”
The massively popular Rogan gave President-elect Donald Trump a final boost at the polls with an election-eve endorsement. He later mocked Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee who tabbed Tim Walz as her running mate, for allegedly insisting that Rogan not bring up her stance on marijuana for an interview that ultimately didn’t happen.
And Rogan is apparently a nonstarter for potential romance, according to the younger Walz, a social worker and ski instructor.
“I just want to say that I stand by that. ... It’s literally never failed us and, at this point, it’s like the first thing we do when someone starts talking to a new person,” she continued. “If they follow him we’re like, yeah, this person probably isn’t a great person and probably our values don’t align so we’re gonna move on from that. And honestly it’s worked out well for all of us.”
Hope Walz didn’t offer evidence of her claims, but her personal testimonial sure sounded convincing.
“There’s been some heartbreak in there because of it, or at least some disappointment, but it truly is a litmus test and I got you, ladies,” she assured. “You should start doing it.”
“The Joe Rogan Experience” has millions of followers on Spotify ― 80% of whom are men.
That’s a sizable sliver of the dating pool, but whatever works.
COMMENTS
If you eliminate all the “MAGA” men and with all your other demands you have really narrowed the field. In fact most of the men that Hope Walz would be interested in are probably in some degree of transitioning themselves. I did find one online that might qualify for her below.
I will never understand why the people in Minnesota re-elected Tampon Tim to another term and also voted the Harris/Walz ticket in the last election. You voted for him and you got him. Enjoy! Oh, and don’t forget you get “Goofy” Gwen as well as Hope “The Snitch” as well. Good luck with all of that.!
AND NOW….
Just in time for Christmas, Caitlin gets here due
Thanks to her impact on and off the court, Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark was named Time Magazine's Athlete of the Year on Tuesday. Clark is the first WNBA player to receive the award and just the second individual woman athlete, joining 2021 honoree Simone Biles.
The 22-year-old's 2024 resume is extraordinary. Clark wrapped up her NCAA career as Division I's all-time leading scorer, helping Iowa reach a second-straight national championship game. Since becoming the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Clark's pro debut included claiming the league's single-season assist record and fueling the Fever to their first playoff berth since 2016. Along the way, she picked up both All-Star honors and the WNBA's Rookie of the Year award.
Clark's on-court skills built a massive following, drawing record viewership and attendance at both the college and professional level. Her ascent into the league helped the WNBA record its most-watched regular season in 24 years.
That surge in fandom has directly contributed to the sport's growth, something venerated South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley acknowledged on the 2024 NCAA Championship podium, saying, "I want to personally thank Caitlin Clark for lifting up our sport."

O my 69 years on earth, I don’t think I have ever seen an athlete, male of female transform a sport like Caitlin has. Not Tom Brady, Wayne Gretzky, David Beckham, Bobby Orr, Magic Johnson and many more. I would say the closest person to accomplish what she has is Micheal Jordan. So it would only seem right that she wins Time’s athlete of the year right? Well not according to Sheila Johnson. So who is Sheila Johnson?
She is 75 years old and confounded cable TV channel Black Entertainment Network in 1979 with her then-husband Robert. Viacom bought it for $3 billion in 2001. After her divorce in 2002, she sold her BET shares and has since invested in hotels in Florida and Virginia, real estate and horses.
As Vice Chairman of Monumental Sports & Entertainment, Ms. Johnson is the only African-American woman to have ownership in three professional sports teams: the NBA's Washington Wizards, the NHL's Washington Capitals, and the WNBA's Washington Mystics, for which she serves as President and Managing Partner. Here is what she had to say about Caitlin. WARNING: HATER ALERT!!!
Sheila Johnson, billionaire co-owner of WNBA franchise Washington Mystics, has criticized Time for its awarding of “Athlete of the Year” to Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark.
On Tuesday, the outlet bestowed the honor on the 22-year-old after her stellar year, in which she broke multiple college, WNBA and broadcast records.
However, in an interview with CNN Sport, the co-founder of Black Entertainment Television (BET) suggested that the media should do a better job of promoting all the leagues’ players, rather than focusing on Clark’s exploits.
Johnson questioned why the publication “couldn’t have put the whole WNBA on that cover,” given the talent the league possesses.
“When you just keep singling out one player, it creates hard feelings,” added Johnson, co-owner of three Washington sports franchises – the NHL’s Capitals, the NBA’s Wizards and the WNBA’s Mystics.
“This year, something clicked with the WNBA and it’s because of the draft of players that came in. It’s not just Caitlin Clark, it’s (Angel) Reese (as well). We have so much talent out there.”
In her debut season with the Indiana Fever, Clark took home the Rookie of the Year award and was named to the All-WNBA first team – the first rookie to do so since 2008.
Her maiden season has also coincided with an unprecedented increase in coverage of the league, with viewership numbers consistently broken.
The league’s overall attendance increased by 48% year-on-year to its highest level in over 20 years; this phenomenon has been coined “The Caitlin Clark effect.”
A side effect of Clark’s success has been an increase in commercial deals, which Johnson says may create ill will among Clark’s counterparts.
Notably, Clark reportedly agreed to an eight-year deal with Nike worth $28 million that includes a signature shoe. This has prompted criticism from some quarters that her race has partly contributed to her commercial success, given other Black stars have not received deals on the same level.
“They would like to get the same kind of recognition. It all started with the whole Nike sponsorship that Caitlin got,” Johnson, America’s first Black woman billionaire, said.
“There are other players saying, ‘What about us?’”
COMMENTS
I never thought a billionaire, especially her, who owns various sports teams, could says something so stupid. Social media is blowing up against her. She obviously has an agenda here and maybe it’s time, at 75, to take a step back and enjoy the rest of her years out of the spotlight. Here at the Blog we don’t go for this “Hatelin” on “Caitlin” stuff, but this story was so over the top I just had to throw it in.
AND FINALLY…….MY CHRISTMAS WISH
As always, thanks for reading and we’ll see you soon.
