Headlines in the press, 6 o’clock news, rumors around town, manipulated stories plus a Mayor with an imperious attitude will all be exposed through the blog that we will present. It is time to explain from our side, just what we have been through. We have chosen to remain silent up till now.

Brian had a vision for Palace Bar when the opportunity arose in 2016 to buy the property. We built up the business which became a busy place with patrons from all over the Twin Ports. We were also the owners of Shorty’s Pizza & Smoked Meat, one block north of Palace Bar. In August 2013, we opened Shorty’s from the ground up, offering Canadian style foods loved by regulars & out- of-towners alike!

This blog will be used as a forum to tell the account of why we remain closed, to expose corruption within the City of Superior including Mayor Jim Paine & let you the reader know the truth backed up with facts, personal perspective and thought provoking questions.

As business owners we were unfairly treated with our business ripped out from under us by Mayor Jim Paine and his ill advised council. Every door we walked through for a resolution was slammed in our face. We were never given due process. No chance of righting any alleged wrongs. We approached each circumstance with caution & counsel, to no avail.

Something wasn’t adding up or making sense.

This blog will be delivered in a chronological bullet point format for ease of reading and feedback. There will also be documents and pictures. The initial installment will outline the events prior to our doors closing June 29, 2022. The latter blog entries will tell what happen in the six months that followed.
