I HAVE A MENTAL HANGOVER!
379. After another waste of time and unproductive “Pity Party” (See last Blog) on Sept 8, 2022 it was back to the drawing board. I couldn’t help but feel bad For Jordan, the potential buyer, for having to sit through this clown show. I’ve known her for several years and she is about as non-political as it gets. To this day I don’t even know what political party, if any, she affiliates with. I can only imagine that being in that meeting was nauseous at best and sickening at worst. And then my thoughts went to this man-child, infantile, weird and sad excuse of a Mayor. I am running out of words to describe this guy, but bizarre comes to mind. Superior deserves better representation than this. And by the way, what do you think the other people in that meeting were thinking? Maybe they were looking for a barf bag.
380. Then just a few days later on Sept.12, 2022, this happens (See below).
Man injured in shooting at Superior bar
Witnesses said the shooting took place in the men's restroom at Lady Vi's early Sunday morning.
SUPERIOR — A man was injured in at Lady Vi's on Tower Avenue early Sunday morning, according to a news release from the Superior Police Department.
Police responded to a call of shots fired at 1:53 a.m. and arrived within 30 seconds of being dispatched. Officers encountered a large crowd in the area. Witnesses said a shooting occurred inside the men's restroom. Officers cleared the building and were unable to locate any suspects or victims, the news release said.
Duluth Police Department contacted Superior police and said a man had arrived at the Essentia Health emergency department with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. It was later determined that the man was a victim of the shooting. Officers are continuing to investigate the incident.

So, what do you think happened to Lady Vi’s? Did they get a letter from “Mr. Safety” Mayor Paine? Not that I know of, but if I’m wrong Mayor Paine please send me a copy and I’ll be happy to publish it on the blog. Were they closed down? Nope. Was their license renewed? Yep. Does something smell fishy? Yep. As you all know , I am against shutting down businesses. We should only hold the criminals accountable. The only thing I would shut down is City Hall. I would then call ServiceMaster to try and get rid of the stink of corruption out of that building, but sadly I don’t think that would be possible so a complete demolition and rebuild might be in order.
I have a design in mind for the new City Hall. (See below)
381. On Sept 16, 2022 I got an email from my lawyer(See below).
Brian and Jordan,
I think we had a good meeting yesterday. After you all left, I reached out to Superior Police Chief Nick Alexander. I am going to meet with him and the city attorney on Monday (Sept 19, 2022). He knew about our data request. I’m hopeful we can make some progress or at least get a better understanding of the City’s issues. Give me a call if you want to discuss.

I disagree with the “good meeting” part of it but I do agree with the “at least get a better understanding of the City’s issues “part. Because at this point we are five months into this sham and the city has never told us what it is they want.

Today’s meeting has been pushed out until later in the week. Something came up with the chief. I’ll keep you posted.

My meeting is tomorrow at 4 pm (Sept 20, 2022). As always, I’ll update you on what is discussed.
384. On Sept 21. 2022 I got this email from my lawyer. (See below)
Brian, Sheilagh, and Jordan,
I had a productive meeting yesterday with the Superior chief and attorney. The meeting gave me some clarity on your options. Would you all be available to sit down this week to discuss. I’m available this afternoon as well as part of Thursday and Friday.
385. On Sept 26, 2022, another email from my lawyer (See below)
Brian, Sheilagh, and Jordan,
After our meeting, I followed up with the Superior Chief and attorney. I told them that Jordan is working on a new proposal for the Palace Bar with a new feel, security plan, and management approach. I also told them that they can hold off on our records request for the time being. The idea behind holding off on the records request is that it gives us a stick to motivate them if we run into problems with the liquor license. Give me a call if you have any questions.

When do you anticipate bring the liquor license package forward? When will you need control of the Palace Bar? Let’s talk when the package starts to come together.

Give me a call so we can discuss how you want to do the temporary transfer of the bar to Jordan. We have a few details to think through.

I knew this whole scam was just a wild goose chase. I was wasting time and bleeding money. But I had to play it out and see what happens.
386. This pretty much takes us to the end of September 2022. Things are about to get a lot crazier.
