387. Welcome back everyone to Blog 41. Today we will continue to follow the events of what happened after we closed. So, let’s get started.
On Oct. 4, 2022, my lawyer sent an email to Jordan wheat (the potential buyer).
Jordan,
Are you ready with your new Palace Bar business and security plan?
When you are ready to go, I think we should meet with the Chief, the Attorney and possibly the mayor before you apply for the liquor license.
On Oct 6. 2022 another email from my lawyer (See below).
Brian, Sheilagh, and Jordan,
I spoke to the Superior City Attorney. He says that our next step should be an informal meeting with the Superior Mayor. It would be an informal meeting to discuss the new bar plans and gauge his support. I’d like to attend if the mayor is good with that.
Jordan,
Give me a call tomorrow to discuss when and how to schedule this next meeting.
388. Oct. 11, 2022, another email from my lawyer (See below).
Jordan and Brian,
The Superior Mayor is willing to meet with me and Jordan on Thursday, October 20 at 2 pm. The idea would be to get his buy in on Jordan’s new concept for the Palace Bar. If we can get that, Jordan can move forward with the liquor license application.
Jordan,
I assume you will be ready by the 20th. We should talk before the meeting.
October 17, 2022, Jordan sent an email to my lawyer (See below)
Hi Gunnar, so I am just working on my stuff for the meeting do you want me to send it to you, or did you want to get together and go over things and my plan?

I think we are four for four on meetings now. First meeting-No Mayor (He was in Vegas), Second One-Covid problems, Third One-something came up with the Chief and now this. And no reason provided. Very unprofessional but unfortunately, expected. In 2023, when I decided to do a Blog, I started to look into all kinds of various things and started to ask for information requests from different departments of the city. You have read many of them in some of my Blogs. Here is one request from May 23, 2023 (See below).

392. Then there was this email Oct 21, 2022 (My birthday) from my lawyer.
Brian,
Happy birthday, young man. Enjoy life in Las Vegas. (I moved here on Oct 4, 2022)
In other news, our meeting with the mayor is now scheduled for November 1st at 2 pm. The mayor, the city attorney, a police representative, Jordan, and I have been invited.

First off, I know Centenarians (That’s people 100 and over—I looked it up on google) that have busier schedules than this Mayor. According to his calendar he was available. He was also available every other day after that as well. This is right from the dirty and slimy political playbook. Lie, exaggerate, stall, delay, cancel, and more. Wear your opponent down and hope they go away. If he had any moral compass he would resign. But he won’t because he doesn't. Remember that report that the city commissioned about making the Mayor’s position part-time. I’ll do a Blog on that soon. In the meantime, thanks for reading today and I’ll see you soon!
