“I’M GLAD IT RESOLVED THE WAY IT DID”...June 10,2022
JIM PAINE...Corrupt American Mayor
448. Today we start with two quotes from two different people. Two people that are a million miles apart. One is a story of inspiration and one isn’t.
Estee Lauder
I happened to be reading her bio a couple of weeks ago and came across the quote above. I think a majority of business owners and many people from all kinds of walks of life could identify with what she said. She had a very interesting life. You should check it out. She died April 24, 2004. She was 95 years old. Who said “hard work never killed anybody”?
Jim “Sour Note” Paine
His bio for the most part is very unimpressive and not interesting. His quote was in the local rags on June 10, 2022. He is referring to the upcoming closing of the Palace Bar on June 30, 2022. He is “Glad” that the illegal and immoral plan that he and the Back Stabbing Baker Melissa Hyatt concocted has come to fruition. What kind of Mayor celebrates the closing of one of the most successful businesses in their category? A lousy one obviously. Jim Paine is 42 years old and is still alive. And as he might have said “It might be true that hard work never killed anyone, but why take a chance?” Go figure.

ON WITH TODAY’S BLOG

Welcome everyone to today’s Blog. Let’s pick it up from the last one.

I got an email from my lawyer.
Brian and Sheilagh,
I spoke to Jordan this morning. She is sick but continuing to push her story with the Superior City Councilors and the Police Chief. The liquor license has been submitted to the City Clerk and is being processed. I will continue to monitor the progress of the liquor license process and support Jordan along the way. Please call or email me if you have any questions.

What Gunner is talking about here is that the Mayor had indicated that he was going to step away and let the council decide the fate of the license or at least, that’s what we thought. The Mayor had told Jordan to call every councilor and meet with them individually. All the Mayor was doing was sending her on another wild goose chase. At one point he had asked her to talk to the surrounding businesses and get their approval for her to re-open. She did and they all said yes except you know who. But the Mayor never even asked her for the results, instead he wanted her to now go and talk to the city councilors. The problem is that most of them would not meet with her. Wow, don’t we have a great functional city here? As I stated before, city councilors get paid 150.00 a week, which in my opinion is about 149.00 a week too much. But like they say “You get what you pay for”.

Brian and Sheilagh,
I think the Mayor is going to ask the council to deny the liquor license application for the Palace Bar. Jordan is lobbying the councilors today. We’ll see what happens tonight.

I was 100% sure we were not going to get the license. But I wasn't prepared for what was about to happen next. Don’t miss the next Blog because I don’t think you are going to believe it either.
