MANIFESTO OF A MADMAN PART 8

SOUR NOTE

FACE OF EVIL
THE MOUTHPIECE HAS FALLEN OUT OF THE HORN AND ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE!
522. Welcome to the Blog. Today we will continue to decipher this letter from hell. I promise you we will get to the end of it one of these days. I just hope none of us die of old age before that. So here we go.
Now back to the “MANIFESTO OF A MADMAN.”
THE LONG LETTER

523. The Mayor says:
MAN-CHILD ALERT

“At our first meeting, I asked Ms. Wheat what she felt had caused the problems that led to the closure of the Palace. She did not have an answer. At our second meeting I asked her again and she claimed that she had "begged" Mr. Noel to make changes and he had refused. I asked her what changes she had asked for and she said that she had asked him to close the bar for a few days after the second shooting.”
COMMENTS

The Man-Child moment here is the word “BEGGED”. I know what the word means but I looked up Google for their definition.
“To ask someone for something, especially in an anxious way because you want or need it very much beg (for something) He wants to see them beg for mercy. beg somebody (for something) They begged him for help. “
You see folks, by using the word “BEGGED”, the Mayor is implying that Jordan had asked me to do something and I refused so she then had to beg me. He knows that by adding a word here and a word there, he can change the tone of a question or statement to make it look more dramatic and therefore make the person he is targeting, in this case me, look bad. In his letter above he even used quotation marks when he used the word “begged”. He loves to tweek or twerk words to make people he doesn't like look bad. I have shown many examples of this in past Blogs.

The mayor said:
“At our first meeting, I asked Ms. Wheat what she felt had caused the problems that led to the closure of the Palace. She did not have an answer.”
The reason she didn’t have an answer is because it’s a stupid question and if you think about it, she should have been asking the Mayor that question. The answer to his question is simple. “The problems that led to the closure of the Palace” were Mayor Paine and Melissa Hyatt with some help from the Chief, Frog Prell and the zombie apocalypse AKA City Council. There is the answer to your stupid question Mayor Paine.
Then the Mayor said:
“At our second meeting I asked her again and she claimed that she had "begged" Mr. Noel to make changes and he had refused. I asked her what changes she had asked for and she said that she had asked him to close the bar for a few days after the second shooting.”

I want to point out that my wife did contact Jordan to clarify her recollection of this meeting. And the Mayor doubled down on his stupid question. First off there was no “begging” involved according to Jordan. I have known her for several years and for those of you that know her, I think you would agree she’s not the begging type. But I did talk to her about closing down after the ONLY shooting as well as the Fake Shooting-Non-Shooting or as the Mayor calls it the “second shooting”.

Here are Jordan’s words:
“I do remember him asking the first time and I don’t think I actually had an answer because I truly don’t know what caused the problems.”
Then she said:
“I remember this part because I do remember asking Brian to close after the first shooting because I didn’t want to come back to work the next day, but then went to work and all was fine. Not sure if that helped but the biggest thing that I remember with all of this is that the Mayor and the city always tried to turn me against you and Brian which wasn’t going to happen. And as far as the second shooting I did also want to be closed”

COMMENTS
I will talk about how I came to the decision to re-open in depth on the next Blog, but today I want to switch gears. I would like to speak to you about an interview from our friends at The Duluth Monitor that has gone viral.
HERE IS THE SET-UP

It started off with this:
"On the City of Superior's webpage, it states: 'The Superior Municipal Forest is comprised of 4,400 acres of forest and natural habitat, making it the third largest forest within a city in the nation.”
So John Ramos, the Publisher started doing some research and found out the information was not true so he decided he wanted to do an article on it and things took a weird turn along the way. The following article comes from The Duluth Monitor’s Website:
“When the Monitor emailed Superior Parks and Recreation Director Linda Cadotte for comment on this story on Aug. 6, 2024, she did not reply.
When the Monitor asked Ms. Cadotte for comment in person, at the Wisconsin Point Committee’s meeting on Aug. 13, 2024, Ms. Cadotte said, “I’m told not to respond.”
There are only two people at the City of Superior with the authority to order Director Cadotte not to respond to the press. She directly reports to Public Works Director Todd Janigo and he directly reports to Superior Mayor Jim Paine—Chief Executive Officer of the 13th largest municipal forest in the nation.”

LINDA CADOTTE
Here is the interview between Mayor Paine and John Ramos. Make sure you have the sound on.

COMMENTS

He has been Mayor for 7 years and that’s the best he can do? Whatever he’s selling, I’m not buying. But let’s see some samples of comments I’ve taken from you, the people, from various social media sites:

1-Dude looks to the left a lot. Tell tale sign of lies.
2-Seriously, it’s obviously time for him to go. Vote him out. How elected and public officials treat the media is tantamount to how they treat voters/residents. When they do not want to answer any longer — in an obvious public venue, BTW — then it’s generally time for them to go. No longer publicly interested, obviously self-interested. The arrogance on display from the mayor here rankles me. The *off-hours … what was the question again?* retort was classic a-hole. Appreciate the Monitor’s pugnaciousness, as usual, in the face of such blatant disregard.

3-The Monitor brings out people's real selves.
4-time to drain the swamp and get rid of a major Paine in the ass and his cronies.
5-it’s no wonder top administrators left their employment with Superior as they couldn’t tolerate working for this dictator! do you have proof of such an "order" a real journalist would start there instead of making statements with nothing to back it up
6-An example of poor government.
7-Keep pushing forward for answers. Off hours? As mayor, what are the off hours? Don't you check your email in the morning?
8-Hi John,
Governments, like Superior’s, dislike real journalists like yourself. If they can’t control the narrative, they try to pretend you aren’t there and they hope that no one listens to you–only to them. They only talk to the softball reporters (like the DNT, and scratching-for-clicks and suck-up sites like Howie Hanson and Northern News Now) that blindly report anything any government official tells them.
But despite the government BS, you are right in that the Superior forest is a great place. It doesn’t matter how relatively big they are (all governments feel they have to exaggerate everything they do, like Spirit Mountain claiming they have 700′ vertical when it is actually less than 600′).
Oh, governments–why would anyone wonder why we don’t trust them!?
9-It’s no wonder top administrators left their employment with Superior as they couldn’t tolerate working for this dictator!

10-Isn't he supposed to be transparent? Law vs. Policy. I swear to Christ all politicians should wear body cams while on the job at this point. Public officials=Public record. Tf is this guy's issue with the truth? Oh wait...got it
11-transparency is when you represent your constituents as a whole. When you have your own agenda, you skirt questions like he did... because "it doesn't matter".
12-Wow he's rude
13-Don’t even need the sound on…condescension on his face and in his body language. But still looks a wee bit busted
14-The city has had a media policy for many many years. Little Hitler has to tell a Dep’t head how/what to say to the media!
15-He’s not good
AND THEN THIS HAPPENED

A major, I guess we can call it discussion, breaks out between Jerry Paine, the Mayor’s brother and John Ramos the publisher of The Duluth Monitor and then other people get involved. You can read the full discussion on The Duluth Monitor’s Facebook page, Here is a sample of some of the back and forth below and here is a link to the Monitor’s Facebook page.

kinda funny how short this clip is, when they were obviously sitting there for a while. And what was the actual question he wouldn't answer? Sounds like a weak attempt at a gotcha moment by someone who has been trying to make him look bad for years........
17-Duluth Monitor
Is that funny? I don't know. The meeting of the Tourism Development Commission had just adjourned. I stood up and asked the mayor the first question you see in the video. I did cut off a few seconds at the end where the mayor told me "It's a free country," when I asked if he minded if I contacted city employees in the future.
There are many questions the mayor wouldn't answer. First, in regards to the Municipal Forest, I had asked the following of Linda Cadotte two weeks earlier, which the mayor instructed her not to respond to (she was not allowed to say "No comment"; she was told not to respond at all):
"On the City of Superior's webpage, it states: 'The Superior Municipal Forest is comprised of 4,400 acres of forest and natural habitat, making it the third largest forest within a city in the nation.'
I have heard this claim made for years, and accepted it without question. I have even repeated it myself.
However, when I searched the internet, I found many other municipal parks and forests in the nation which were greater than 4,400 acres in size.
Thus far, I have identified 11 other municipal natural areas which are greater in size than the Superior Municipal Forest, which would make it the 12th-largest in the nation.
1) I am wondering where the "third-largest" designation came from? Does anyone remember?
2) Which two municipal forests does the city consider larger than Superior's?"
The second set of questions were related to the city's media policy. I had emailed them to the mayor 5 days earlier, and he never responded.
"1) Does the city have a new media policy? If so, what is it?
2) Does the media policy apply to all media, or is it Monitor-specific?
3) When I have questions, who shall I ask?"
I think that covers everything. Here's the full recording.
18-Jerry Paine
you're questions for linda aren't of a journalistic nature, is she supposed to be a historian or statistician? Those claims have probably been around longer than her or him. You’ve also proven to be an unethical, badgering and annoying "reporter", so why would anyone respond to you? I’m sure she asked how to respond to such questions and he simply said you don't have to. Nobody is required to talk to the press or answer questions. The best journalists make people want to talk to them. You’re confrontation with councilor graskey also seemed highly inappropriate, she asked you to step back, etc, before she blew you off.....did she know you were recording? There’s no video or any mention of a recording, so who knows?.....good luck with your local little rag paper or whatever it is…
19-Duluth Monitor
Thank you. It's going great.
The mayor did not tell Linda "you don't have to" respond. He ordered her not to respond.
Here is my "highly inappropriate" interaction with Councilor Graskey. She told me to step back when I was already standing on a lower level below her and separated from her by a partition. If I stepped any further back, I would have been in a different room. It's funny how she, too, refused to answer questions. Lack of transparency seems to be a theme in Superior.
20-Jerry Paine
do you have proof of such an "order" a real journalist would start there instead of making statements with nothing to back it up
21-Duluth Monitor
Yes, Linda said she was "told not to respond " That is an order.
Are you really the mayor's brother?
22-Jerry Paine
where does it say in the 1st amendment that elected officials must talk to every member of the press....why doesn't jonny boy go interview trump then? You should just keep your trolling to your side of the bridge...…
