MANIFESTO OF A MADMAN PART 14

SOUR NOTE

FACE OF EVIL
THE MOUTHPIECE HAS FALLEN OUT OF THE HORN AND ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE!
561. Welcome to today’s Blog. We will pickup where we left off last time and we will have a special story from
Sheboygan, WI. later on the Blog.
Now back to the “MANIFESTO OF A MADMAN”
THE LONG LETTER

LIE # 15

The Mayor says the following:
“She does not have the support of the currently operating businesses in the area. Her immediate neighbor strongly refuted Ms. Wheat's claim that she had the support of her neighbors for this venture and believes very little will change. We cannot rely on Ms. Wheat to create a positive relationship with the surrounding community”.
COMMENTS
You really have to watch how this little weasel uses his words. Notice how he uses
“businesses” and “neighbors“. They are both plural. Anyway let’s decipher this statement.
“She does not have the support of the currently operating businesses in the area. Her immediate neighbor strongly refuted Ms. Wheat's claim that she had the support of her neighbors for this venture and believes very little will change.”
562.
COMMENTS
When he refers to “Her immediate neighbor “, he is referring to the notorious “Meddler of the Midwest” Melissa Hyatt. And by the way if there ever was one business license in Superior that should not be renewed, you would have a strong argument that it should be A Dozen Excuses or any business that Melissa Hyatt owns. Anyway when he said that Jordan “did not have the support of the currently operating businesses in the area” that is a lie. So I will send the following email below to the Mayor today Oct 8,2024.

On the Dec 6, 2022 letter, the Mayor said the following:
“She does not have the support of the currently operating businesses in the area. Her immediate neighbor strongly refuted Ms. Wheat's claim that she had the support of her neighbors for this venture and believes very little will change."
Could the Mayor please explain and/or forward the results of his investigation that “She does not have the support of the currently operating businesses in the area." Please include the names of the businesses and the person or persons associated with them.
Thank you,
Brian Noel

COMMENTS (CONTINUED)
The reason that I say that the Mayor is lying is back in 2022 the Mayor’s Posse told me at my only meeting and Jordan at either one or both of her meetings that becoming “Friends” with Melissa Hyatt and having support from surrounding businesses would be necessary even though we have no documentation from any businesses with the exception of Ms. Hyatt ever having a complaint about the Palace. Let’s deal with the “Friends” issue first.

As far as being “Friends” with her, what the hell? Are we in kindergarten? Since when has the City of Superior ever mandated something as stupid as that? They are trying to make two adults be friends with each other. But only one would lose their license if it didn’t succeed. So basically the Mayor is saying that if Jordan could not make friends with Melissa she would not be granted a license. But if Melissa could not make friends with Jordan her license would be just fine. How is that for a setup? But it was Jordan who reached out to Melissa and she did feel that things went fine and the situation would work out. I told Jordan at that time that I did not trust Melissa Hyatt and I felt that she was a very unstable person and to be very careful with her. Little did Jordan know that only minutes after their meeting that Melissa Hyatt was texting the Mayor saying all kind of nasty things about Jordan. You can see those texts on Blog 46. Did the Mayor ever tell Melissa Hyatt she needed to become friends with Jordan? What a con job.

Imagine this. You are friends with Mayor Paine and yes I know you, my readers may have just barfed in your mouth. You live in an apartment. You don’t like your next door neighbor. You call the Mayor and tell him you want the neighbor out of the building. The Mayor sends them a letter. In that letter he says they need to be friends. The neighbor reaches out to you. You still want them out. You don’t really want to make friends. You tell the Mayor you don’t trust them and you still want them out. The Mayor uses his power and gets them evicted even though he has shown no proof that they did anything wrong and he lied about things that they had done that aren't true. And they actually reached out to you to try and solve the problem. But you get to stay in your apartment. That’s pretty much what happened to Jordan.
But the real question here is why in hell is the Mayor getting involved in this kind of nonsense? What is his relationship with Melissa Hyatt? Because everything that he has done in this is not even close to normal and is completely out of bounds and he has, in my opinion, abused his power as Mayor of Superior.
564. I said earlier that when the Mayor said the following that he was lying.
“She did not have the support of the currently operating businesses in the area”
Well on November 22, 2022 Jordan sent the following email to Mayor Paine:
From: Jordan Wheat Date: November 7, 2022 at 10:50:05 AM EST To: Jim Paine <painej@ci.superior.wi.us> Subject: Meeting this week
Good morning Mayor Paine,
I took your advice and met with the following neighboring businesses;
Melissa (Owner of A dozen Excuses) - 218-522-1576
Josh (General Manager of the Cobblestone hotel) - 715-319-3050
Jordan DeCaro (Owner of Tap On Tower) - 218-428-0861
They all seemed very positive about me reopening the bar and look forward to having business relationships going forward.
I look forward to our meeting this week, please let me know when you are available.
Thank you,
Jordan Wheat
NOTE: After Jordan sent this to the Mayor she also told me she talked to the auto store and to the party rental store across the alley and they were both good with her. And yes she thought her conversation with Melissa Hyatt was productive. And yes she was wrong but as far I’m concerned it says more about Melissa Hyatt than it does about Jordan.

565. And then his final words in that paragraph which is just a bullshit salad and once again meant to make Jordan look bad was the following:
We cannot rely on Ms. Wheat to create a positive relationship with the surrounding community”.
COMMENTS
What a sad, pathetic little man Mayor Paine really is. Maligning a hard working young women who doesn't deserve this kind of treatment from a no accomplishments little doofus like Paine. And since when is it Jordan's or any other business’ job to “create a positive relationship with the surrounding community”. Well it’s not. Every business’ job is to follow the rules, follow the laws not “create a positive relationship with the surrounding community”. And what the hell does that even mean. Is she supposed to bring everyone in the area an apple every day?
What the community can’t afford is for you, Mayor Paine “to create a positive relationship with the surrounding community”. You and Melissa Hyatt are the clear and imminent dangers to this community, not Jordan. Just another mess of bullshit words from a mess of a bullshit Mayor.

TIME TO SWITCH GEARS
A VERY INTERESTING STORY FROM SHEBOYGAN WISCONSIN

Speaking of shitty Mayors, I have been following this story from Sheboygan and it has many similarities to the Palace story. Sheboygan's population is 50,000 people, about double the size of Superior. The mayor’s name is Ryan Sorenson. Elected in 2021 at age 27, Ryan Sorenson made history as Sheboygan's youngest mayor. Like Mayor Paine he is a liberal and an actual Manchild.
Sorenson’s political career began at UW-Milwaukee, where he majored in political science. He was a member of the Student Association, serving as its president during his junior year. He graduated in 2016. He ran for and won a seat on the Sheboygan City Council in 2017. In 2020, he became the Common Council president. He became mayor in 2021. So like Mayor Paine he has no real life experience and has sucked off the taxpayer tit his whole life so far. What could possibly go wrong here? Well, a lot actualy.
And like Superior, Sheboygan’s city council has a lot of similarities, which by the way is not good. I will present the story by a timeline from various articles I have accumulated and I’ll make comments as needed and a final comments at the end. This is the story of Dave's Who's Inn Bar.

Sheboygan Mayor Accused of Ethics Violation

Mayor Ryan Sorenson is shown posing with members of "The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence" in this photo posted to the VisitSheboygan Facebook page
Sheboygan’s Mayor is under fire, accused of an ethics violation for a photo that was posted to the Visit Sheboygan Facebook Page late last month. Concerned citizens have sent letters to Common Council members calling on the Council to conduct an investigation into Ryan Sorenson, claiming he violated Section 2-246 of the City’s Ethics Policy. The charges stem from a picture in which Mayor Sorenson posed with members of “The Sisters for Perpetual Indulgence” during a pride event on June 24th Members of that group were dressed in outfits mocking nuns and the Catholic religion. WHBL News was sent copies of letters from two citizens, asking for an investigation by the Common Council. Alderman Joe Heideman told WHBL News that he went to the City Clerk’s office Thursday afternoon attempting to have those letters included in Monday’s common council agenda, but minutes after submitting them to the Clerk was contacted and was told that the Mayor – who rarely vetoes items from the agenda – did just that and Heidemann’s request was turned down.
WHBL contacted Mayor Sorenson for comment, but he did not return our calls. The group “Take Back Sheboygan County” plans a protest at City Hall during Monday night’s 6pm meeting.

Sheboygan Mayor Ryan Sorenson to attend Democratic
Party Convention

Sorenson and his allies attempted to cancel a City Council meeting so he could presumably attend the party in Chicago without being noticeably absent from City Hall.
SHEBOYGAN —Mayor Ryan Sorenson will travel to Chicago in August to attend the Democratic National Convention.
Sorenson, a Democrat, is one of 95 delegates from the State of Wisconsin who will attend the Democratic Party’s National Convention at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. The delegation includes Governor Tony Evers, Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson, State Attorney General Josh Kaul, U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin and other state and local-level Democrats.
The Democratic National Convention will be held August 19th through August 22nd. As Mayor of Sheboygan, Sorenson presides over Common Council meetings and will likely miss the August 19th meeting so he can attend the party in Chicago. Last month, Sorenson attempted to cancel the August 19th city council meeting through a proposal by Alderperson Dean Dekker and Zach Rust. After a 13 minute debate, the attempt to cancel the meeting failed by a vote of 7 to 2, with Rust failing to show up to the meeting to vote and debate the proposal he co-sponsored with Dekker.
The two who voted in favor of canceling the July 15th and August 19th meetings were Alderpersons Barb Felde and Robert La Fave. For Felde, it was a chance to get out of two meetings. She has only attended three of seven city council meetings in-person so far since April 14th. Felde attended four meetings remotely, being minutes late to three of those meetings. During the May 6th meeting, she joined remotely 32 minutes after the meeting had started only for that meeting to end 12 minutes later.
Should Sorenson skip the August 19th meeting to attend the DNC, Alderperson Dekker would preside over meeting in the Mayor’s absence as he is the President of the Common Council.
Sorenson is a life-long Democrat. Just days after graduating from Sheboygan South High School, he made his first political donation of $79.50 to Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign. So far this year, Sorenson has donated $35 to the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, $80 to the 6th Congressional District Democratic Party and $40 to the Manitowoc County Democratic Party. In total, Sorenson contributed over $2,000 to local and state Democratic candidates and committees since 2012.

Dispute over liquor license conditions prompts longtime
Sheboygan bar owner to close tavern
SHEBOYGAN, Wisc. — Dave's Who's Inn bar hasn't turned on its neon signs or opened its doors in three weeks.
Owner David Repinski decided to close the tavern at the end of June when he discovered his liquor license renewal came with stipulations, ones he deemed unfair. Instead of accepting them, he's fighting them.
“It’s a shocking thing to go through something like this,” he said.
Two conditions imposed by the city are concerning to Repinski and his lawyer, Richard Hahn:
No underage persons on the premises.
Prohibit all weapons and use a metal detector on all patrons entering the premises
The first condition might not seem too radical, but for Repinski — who's prided himself on making the bar a family-friendly, community space — it is. “We’ve been around this city for 50 years. We have some of the same customers that have been here since the 70s that still come in here.”

Repinski's father established Dave's Who's Inn in 1974 off of Pennsylvania Avenue and 7th Street. They moved locations in 1989 to the current spot on 9th Street and Indiana Avenue.
While I interviewed Repinski, two patrons driving by asked if they were open.
“I've never seen these conditions, certainly the [metal detector] wanding conditions are completely unprecedented,” Hahn remarked.
“That would make them feel very uncomfortable just as much as it would make me feel uncomfortable to do to them,” added bouncer and bartender Andrew Schuessler, who's worked at Dave's for nearly a decade.
Schuessler is one of the employees dealing with the consequences of the bar closing.

He and his girlfriend — who is also employed at Dave's — welcomed a baby boy last month, and money gets tighter by the day.
"The formula jug we just bought was $52. That will maybe last us two weeks," Schuessler said. "I’m losing hundreds of dollars a week.”
I reached out to City Attorney Charles Adams for comment on this issue.
He said the city imposed these conditions which “Mr. Repinski agreed to…in 2022, after a lengthy history of violations…His license was surrendered temporarily for 30 days and then reissued on those conditions.”
All violations involving the bar have been dismissed in court.
“It was either that or they were going to pull our license. We didn’t have much of a choice so we had to take the shutdown,” explained long-time employee Coralie Kunstman.
A Sheboygan Licensing, Hearings and Public Safety Committee meeting on May 25, 2022 revealed members didn't know how long these conditions would last when they implemented them.
When watching, you can hear Attorney Adams ask the police officer in attendance, "Did we make it a whole year?"
The officer responds, "I don't know that it specified. I think it's kind of open-ended."
And Adams concludes, "Might be open-ended, might be forever, ha!”
Repinski and Hahn said they were blindsided when the conditions were applied again, after no issues in 2023.

Kunstman said she understands the decision to close the bar, but worries she won't be able to cover her bills if Dave's is out of business much longer.
“I don’t want this to have to be the end of my career," she said. "To not know, are we ever going to get to be who we are? What made us, you know?”
Repinski's case will be heard at the Licensing Committee meeting on Thursday. For now, he’ll keep the doors locked.

Sounding familiar? I am putting a link here for you Dispute over liquor license conditions prompts bar owner to close tavern (tmj4.com)
The reason is there is a video in this article and the owner and staff speak about how this irresponsible and useless city administration has effected them just like the shitty administration of the City of Superior has affected ours.

Dave’s Who’s Inn to Reopen with Lighter Restrictions

Dave’s Who’s Inn in Sheboygan is set to resume business operations with a few changes.
The Downtown Sheboygan establishment had been closed since the beginning of July amid a dispute with the city over conditions placed on their liquor license.
These conditions were: no minors were to be allowed on the premises and they must use metal detection wands on every single patron that enters the bar.
Dave Repinski and his attorney, Richard Hahn, argued that these new conditions they had been placed under were vague and unfair.
Dave’s Who’s Inn has underage employees who work at the bar as pin setters, is a popular spot in the city for families to get fish dinners, and is the only bar in the city required to wand each and every patron that enters the building.
It is for these reasons that Repinski and his legal counsel strongly opposed the conditions to which their liquor license was subject.
At the Sheboygan Licensing, Hearings, and Public Safety meeting on July 25, this committee agreed that the current conditions of the license, which have kept the bar closed for nearly a month, were excessive, unfair, and had no concrete end date.
The new conditions of the liquor license have been reduced or eliminated.
Minors are once again allowed on the premises, and metal detection wanding is only to be done on weekends from 10:00 p.m. to close, Friday through Sunday.
The Sheboygan Police Department also agreed these new conditions were fair and reasonable.
The conditions will go until the end of the calendar year, and if they are complied with, they will be eliminated when the year-long liquor license expires.

Common Council Modifies Conditions for Operation of Dave’s Who’s Inn

Dave Repinski was nearly jumping for joy during Monday night’s Sheboygan Common Council meeting. That’s because the Council approved the recommendation of the Licensing, Hearings, and Public Safety Committee to amend the voluntary license conditions on his business, Dave’s Who’s Inn.Those amendments reduced the requirement to operate metal detectors to between 10 p.m. and closing on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only, and to lift the ban on any underage persons from the premises, which Repinski is attempting to operate as a family gathering place.
The Committee on July 25th was given favorable input from Police Chief Domagalski, City Attorney Charles Adams and others, prompting them to recommend the changes. Last night, the Common Council gave unanimous approval to the move, prompting Repinski’s celebration, and nearly a spontaneous speech, which the Mayor cheerfully stopped by saying: “Dave, I can’t let you speak.”The audience, however, may have said it all in their applause.

Dave's Who's Inn reopens in Sheboygan. What to know about the bar's liquor license dispute.

Owner Dave Repinski with new license Aug 6, 2024
SHEBOYGAN –The doors of Dave’s Who’s Inn have reopened after more than a month of being shuttered because of contentious conditions proposed for a liquor license renewal.
The Common Council voted unanimously Aug. 5 to remove all voluntary conditions and stipulations attached to the issuance of the bar’s liquor license, ending a three-year struggle with the city.
“I’m feeling great, we had a unanimous decision,” said Dave Repinski, owner of Dave’s Who’s Inn. “I don’t know if I can explain myself. It shows they trust us.”
The bar, 835 Indiana Ave., voluntarily closed at the end of June when it was set to renew its license because Repinski disagreed with several conditions from the city that would've required his agreement and compliance with upon issuance of the license.

Sheboygan Alders Discuss Establishing Uniform Regulations for City Bars

A recent dispute between the owner of a bar and the City of Sheboygan has the City considering new rules. The issue arose following a several-years-long tussle that began with the City’s withholding of the liquor license of Dave’s Who’s Inn for 30 days two years ago. Owner Dave Repinski was only allowed to reopen and maintain his Class-B liquor license so long as he operated a scanner and metal detector on his clients, something no other establishment was required to do.
Repinski took legal action and was able to get those conditions removed earlier this month, but not until background details of the hotly-contested issue with city administration had emerged.
WHBL News inquired about Wednesday’s meeting of the Licensing, Hearings and Public Safety Committee with City Council Vice President Zach Rust, who confirmed that the discussion was added to the agenda of Wednesday’s meeting at the request of Alderman Joe Heidemann, who wanted the Committee and City staff to get ideas on how to prevent another “Dave’s Who’s Inn” situation from arising in the future. Rust said that as of right now, the committee plans to reach out to the Tavern League of Wisconsin in order to get their input in developing any uniform code for the bars.

COMMENTS
Can local governments be any more out to lunch, dysfunctional, detached from reality, ineffective, stupid, uniformed and useless? I guess they could and Superior and Sheboygan are on their way to prove they can. We need to be more diligent on who we elect, we really do. Congratulations to the owner, staff, customers and their lawyer for fighting the good fight.

A FINAL THOUGHT

Now to my favorite subject. As you may know there has been a controversy over the Caitlin Clark WNBA “Rookie of the Year award.” The voting was not unanimous. And I am not
happy.
WNBA reporters rush to clarify their votes after Angel Reese gets one over Caitlin Clark
Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark captured 66 of 67 votes to nearly unanimously claim the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year honor.
Unlike in other sports, writers are not mandated to make their votes public. Many surmised Clark would claim all 67 votes after averaging 19.2 points, a league-best 8.4 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game.
The remaining first-place vote went to Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese. The former LSU star is no slouch herself: Reese averaged 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds before missing the end of the season with a wrist injury.
Connecticut Sun reporter Terrike Forster-Brasby wanted to make clear she was not the voter who didn't vote for Clark. "Just so we're clear... it wasn't me," she tweeted. "I voted for CC. So don't blow me up or call me a hater 'cause IT WASNT TERRIKE."
National reporter Khristina Williams echoed a similar sentiment: "'I had Caitlin Clark on my ballot for Rookie of the Year.
Clark's teammate Aliyah Boston was the unanimous Rookie of the Year last season with far inferior stats, though she did not face as stiff competition as Reese.
Other unanimous WNBA rookie winners include A'ja Wilson for the Las Vegas Aces in 2018, Elne Delle Donne for the Chicago Sky in 2013, and Tina Charles for the Connecticut Sun in 2010.
"If you were the person who had that one vote, you should be able to stand on it, and we should know who you are," said ESPN analyst Andraya Carter on a recent WNBA preview show.
Clark, who was already named the unanimous Associated Press Rookie of the Year in late September, did not acknowledge the vote when she released a statement about her win.
VERY FINAL THOUGHT
So nobody wants to fess up. I have a hunch it has to be one of two people (see below).
