491. Welcome all to Blog 57. Well a lot has happened in the world of politics since the last Blog. We have had an assassination attempt on a former president, the current president has pulled out of the race, we have a new candidate for president, the head of the Secret Service has resigned and a sitting United States senator has been found guilty of accepting bribes. It feels like the season finale of one of your favorite TV shows that has more twists and turns than you can count. I think it’s fair to say that none of us have ever seen anything like this in the political world in such a small amount of time. I also think this is going to be the wildest and craziest presidential campaign that any of us have ever seen.

My Prediction? I think sales of all headache medications will increase substantially over the next few months. My go to brand is Excedrin Migraine Relief. My doctor says it’s better for your stomach. My advice? Stock up now on your favorite brand in case of possible shortages due to high demand. I know I am.

Here at the Blog we don’t delve much into national politics because you, our loyal readers are inundated with it 24/7 and we don’t need to add to your stress levels or your use of medications. So we will continue that way but because we have a Mayor who can’t contain himself and what I believe is his lust for higher office we will touch on it from time to time when necessary which unfortunately may increase your intake of medications. Sorry about that.

492. So now back to our regular business. Today we will start to analyze the “long” letter that our mentally disturbed Mayor sent to City Council and of course hack reporter and Mayor fan girl, Shelley Nelson from the Superior Telerag on December 6th 2022 only a few hours before the Council Meeting that would decide the fate of Jordan’s license. We analyzed the “short” letter on Blog 52, 53 and 54.

494. Now it’s time to analyze the letter itself.

POINT 1

In the first sentence the Mayor says “1108 Tower Ave is the home of the Palace Bar, which has been closed since June of this year after the owner declined to renew the license.”

COMMENTS ON POINT 1

The city and specifically Frog Prell just love pushing this narrative. The reason they keep bringing this up is strictly for legal reasons. I have covered this statement many times. In fact I wrote about it recently on Blog 54, Point 468. Below is part of that Blog.

On May 27, 2022, I received an email from Parrish. (MY LAWYER)

I spoke with Frog yesterday. The city wants the license and aren’t interested in a compromise agreement. We need to decide whether to fight them on the 8th, or surrender and revamp the operations with an eye toward applying for a new license under Jordan’s name. I’m in Florida right now, but I’ll be checking my email periodically.

We also had been told by several police officers that there was no chance in hell that we were getting a license. They also said that the Mayor was going to bring some “Heavy Hitters” to the council meeting. I’m not really sure who they were. I thought the whole thing over and after a couple of days I called my lawyer and said I would comply with the city’s order or request and surrender the license. Think of this way, I could show up at council chambers in front of the Mayor and the zombie apocalypse AKA city council and a hostile one sided fake new press and been publicly humiliated when I knew I had a zero chance of getting justice that day. I decided the best way to go was to bow out quietly and try and work on getting Jordan a license. That decision cost me about one and a half million dollars. I will discuss that in depth in an upcoming blog.

494. Next the mayor says the following:

“Prior to the renewal date, I and several members of my administration had made clear to the owner and to the Council that I intended to oppose the renewal of the license for several reasons. "

So, today July 25, 2024 I sent the following email to Rebecca Sherf as well as the Mayor.

The only two people that told me that were the Mayor and Frog Prell. The Mayor sent me a letter and Frog sent my lawyer an email. Could you provide me a list of these "other people".

To city council,

On December 6, 2022 Mayor Paine sent you all a letter. In that letter he said the following:

"Prior to the renewal date, I and several members of my administration had made clear to the owner and to the Council that I intended to oppose the renewal of the license for several reasons."

The Mayor is saying that prior to July 1, 2022 (which is the renewal date) he informed you of his decision. As I am sure you know, closing down any business is a very serious issue and I would like to think that before you would vote for that a lot of time, thought and investigation would be conducted by each one of you before you reached your decision. So, my questions are the following:

1- Were you in fact informed by the Mayor of his decision prior to the renewal date of July 1, 2022 and do you know the date if he did?

2- If you were informed of his decision, what steps did you take to inform yourselves so that you could make an educated and fair decision based on all the facts.

3- Were you informed by Frog Prell or the Mayor that on May 27, 2022, Frog asked my lawyer for the license back and the city did not want to negotiate any more. All this, around 24 hrs. after a shooting that did not occur on our property. If you were informed, do you remember the date?
